Try This – The Mindset Newsletter

Today I’m highlighting some banger tweets I’ve come across over the past week, all on the topic of mindset!

Let’s dive in.

Number 1:

I recently sent this to a few family members who were feeling stuck in overthinking and got so many positive responses. Sometimes we just need a reminder to get outside, connect with other people, say hi to someone, enjoy the sun, take a walk. It’s amazing what can happen when you just shake up your environment. Maybe your problems don’t seem that big anymore.

I know everyone’s situation is different, and some folks are dealing with major depression that will not even allow them to leave the house, and this is when a professional can be helpful. But for others, it can sometimes be as simple as getting out of the house.

Number 2:

Nowhere is this more true than in health. It’s not about the new supplement or biohacking tool, it’s all about doubling down on the basics. That’s not always sexy, and it takes discipline, but that discipline compounds over time. Sleep, eat nutritious food, move your body, and hydrate. Do it every day.

Number 3:

My thoughts: First off, shout to the Persian’s, they had some fire quotes. Secondly, shoutout to everyone out there quietly working on their growth. Maybe the people around you don’t notice it, but I do, and I want to say I’m proud of you.

Number 4:

My thoughts: What a perspective. Your future self is counting on you today to show up as the best you that you can be.

Number 5:

My thoughts: No matter how big or small, what’s something you created today? I wish that A.I. could watch what I do every day and then send me a report on how much I created versus how much I consumed. As tough as that would be, it would definitely snap me out of getting stuck in consuming. The quicker we can get caught in doomscrolling, watching TV, etc,  the quicker we can get back into our zone of genius and living our purpose.

Number 6:

My thoughts: It’s crazy how so much unneeded stress in our lives is just a lack of action on something we are avoiding.

Number 7:

My thoughts: A few years ago I was at a talk that Eckhart Tolle was giving in Malibu, and he shared something that really stuck with me. He said, the ego loves to make things wrong because when something else is wrong, we are right. Complaining is like junk food for the ego and one of the cheapest ways to build our ego up. It takes courage to focus on things that we actually appreciate and love in this world. It’s the antidote to all of the negativity and divisiveness we are currently seeing.

That’s it for now. See you next week for more.

Sending love,

Dhru Purohit
