Episode 37

Nutritious Movement

With Katy Bowman

Around the globe, we are waking up to how many of our ailments and illnesses can be attributed to our sedentary lifestyles. We have been told to move more to resolve our pain or decrease our risk for certain ailments, but we’re not sure where to start.

On today’s Broken Brain Podcast, our host, Dhru, talks to Katy Bowman, an internationally recognized biomechanist, author, and science communicator. She also directs and teaches at the Nutritious Movement Center Northwest in Washington State. In this podcast, we talk about the power of movement and how we can transform our bodies, families, communities, and planet, simply by moving more. We discuss how to easily integrate movement into everyday  life, and how our cells respond to movement the way they respond to a healthy diet. We also talk about the difference between movement and exercise and the importance of embracing a variety of different types of movement, as well as basic exercises to wake up our trillion body parts.

I know you’ll love this episode of The Broken Brain Podcast as much as I did.
